As a Territory Sales Representative, you will develop and deliver sales results within a defined region of The Home Depot stores. You’ll build relationships with homeowners, professional contractors, and other end users of PPG Paints to drive top line sales growth. In The Home Depot (THD) stores, you’ll establish strong relationships with key Home Depot retail employees and demonstrate your industry expertise throughout your territory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with retail in store management teams to develop, drive and achieve sales growth plans.
Engage all customers with their painting projects and PPG product support throughout the store, especially within the paint and contractor areas.
Drive sales growth of the Pro Customer list of accounts in your territory by prospecting and forming new relationships with customers in person or over the phone, generating leads, and closing sales.
Work cross-functionally with all PPG departments (Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Customer Service to exceed sales goals.
Monitor and report on market and competitive activities.
Plan and conduct weekend and after hours training events in Home Depot stores. Participate in all Major Market Training and road show events as scheduled.
Analyze territory sales performance reports and develop strategic territory business plans to support growth.
Aggressively identify in-store selling opportunities to secure wing stacks, bulk stacks, end caps, and stack outs to create impactful, cross merchandised, product displays.
Ensure automatic replenishment system is supplying sufficient product to support rate of sale, and on-hand inventory counts are accurate by performing cycle counts.
Train and demo DIY and PRO products to The Home Depot sales associates.
Maintain color centers, sales aides and Point of Purchase materials for all PPG Paints brands.
Job Requirements
4 year degree or relevant experience.
Proven results in selling and relationship building in retail operations and contractor segment sales preferred.
Ability to build relationships with and influence a wide array of personality types from diverse backgrounds.
Experience with retail operations, inventory management and merchandising preferred.
Self-directed/motivated and drive for sales results orientated.
Solid computer skills, time management/prioritization skills, strong oral and written presentation skills.
Abiltiy to a 50 hour work week, which includes weekends throughout the year.
Up to 30% travel in territory and some outside travel required throughout the year assisting in other territories.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
The ability to lift up to 65 pounds on a periodic basis.
Candidates must live within territory to be considered for this opportunity.
