Senior Director - Smart Building Program (Chicago, Baltimore, or NYC)

Position Summary:

PLEASE NOTE: This position is open to Chicago, Baltimore, and New York City locations.
 
SUMMARY
Leads Energy and Sustainability Services for a geographic region, and has national role for ESS strategy development and program implementation. Responsibilities include team management, business development, client alignment, technical expertise and product development.  This position requires billable client work and participation in JLL business development efforts in support of IFM, PDS and Markets Property Management.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Lead and mentor team of energy managers, energy engineers and energy analysts
  • Help lead national ESS team through strategy and service product development
  • Manage team administration and performance, including regular reviews, training and development plans
  • Manage team data analysis process for utility integrity on all accounts
  • Develop and implement personnel plans, including succession planning, talent evaluation and recruitment
  • Manage finance and accounting to assure proper revenue and cost management
 
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  • Meet or exceed revenue/AGM target for region
  • Support national revenue/AGM targets for ESS
  • Actively develop new business, using Client First to track and report progress
  • Manage presentation/proposal process to meet targets and support JLL, in general
  • Maintain contact network in industry to build JLL presence in market
  • Build relationships with utility incentive programs
 
CLIENT ALIGNMENT
  • Responsible for new client alignment on goals, strategy and plan
  • Develop/implements national client relationship efforts and leads multi-region programs
  • Manage energy program transitions within region
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews and transformation processes, as required
  • Ensure client savings goals are clearly established, measured, and met
 
SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in all areas of energy and sustainability to provide expertise, as needed
  • Have ability to manage multi-property energy auditing or retro-commissioning programs
  • Proactively learn new technologies and strategies to keep ESS service products leading-edge
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology
  • Advance degree in Engineering or Technology, preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • 15+ years, preferred
