Accounting Associate

Position Summary:
POSITION PURPOSE
We are currently seeking a. Accounting Associate to join our Accounting and Finance team in Chicago, IL. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in a career in accounting and wants to join an organization that will provide opportunities for growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform month-end close processes (ie. balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger review, accounts receivable management)
· Provide finance operations support to multiple business segments
· Compile and analyze financial information for management reports
· Communicate and present monthly reviews of P&L performance and ad-hoc metrics
· Assist in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting exercises
· Completion of special projects and other functions as required by manager
QUALIFICATIONS
· Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· Prior Internship experience a plus
· Strong communication and analytical skills
· Self-starter with the ability to strive in a fast paced and customer service oriented environment
· Strong attention to detail
· Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
· Prior PeopleSoft experience is a plus
