CAS Corporate Solutions Oversight Senior Associate I

Position Summary:

OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Senior Associate I to join our Corporate Solutions Oversight team in Westmont, IL. 
 
This position will provide independent, professional and objective assurance that our Corporate Client Accounting Services (IFM-Integrated Facilities Management and PDS-Project and Development Services) have accurately reported client financials, SSAE 16 controls are maintained, tested and/or remediated throughout the calendar year, as well as maintains the integrity of profile system segregation controls through periodic testing and review. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
FINANCIAL REVIEWS

  • Perform systematic examination and appraisal of financial records, reports, management controls, policies and practices affecting/reflecting the financial condition and operations results of client accounts.
 
TESTING OF SSAE 16 CONTROLS
  • Initiate regularly scheduled testing of internal controls included in the SSAE16 prior to annual audit.
  • Document findings of interim SSAE 16 testing and work with impacted areas to remediate deficiencies.
  • May assist in the coordination of the annual SSAE external audit.
 
SEGREGATION CONTROLS
  • Consults with business for new profiles or profile changes to ensure profile is appropriate based on user
  • Validate new profiles or changes to profiles do not conflict in segregation of duties.
  • Reviews profiles quarterly for segregation compliance using established macros.
 
GENERAL
  • Apply knowledge of internal control concepts and experience to planning, performing, managing and reporting on the evaluation of various business processes, areas and functions
  • Identify and clearly define issues and root causes, recommend improved internal controls and business processes and ensure that corrective action plans are developed and implemented
  • Maintain effective communications with the Manager, members of the client accounting team, other members of the oversight team as well as all levels of management.
  • Complete other special projects with guidance and direction from management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • BS in Accounting
  • 2 – 3 years accounting experience
  • Experience in financial analysis or audit (internal or external) – emphasis on financial audits and internal controls testing, a plus but not required
 
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
  • CPA and/or CIA a plus
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications with ability to quickly learn our systems: JDE Edwards, ACL, Insight experience, a plus
