Sr. Financial Analyst

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Americas IT Finance team in Chicago, IL. This candidate will collaborate with IT Leadership, Markets, and Corporate Solutions Finance.
Responsibilities:
Financial Statements and Variance Reporting
- Monitor, evaluate, and report performance against plan and forecast
- Understand the drivers for variances
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting package providing detailed business explanations, have the ability to “tell the story”
- Active participation in developing and streamlining best in-class reporting
- Monthly and quarterly dashboard reporting
- Tracks key performance indicators and provide recommendations
- Data mining and analyses to identify trends and make recommendations to senior management
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and yearly close activities
- Lead the ongoing tracking of Capital expenditures to drive accountability of projections made at the initial project approval
Planning
- Coordinate planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the Americas IT organization
- Responsible for completing all aspects of the budget process to include assumptions, budget template preparation for cost center owners, and provide schedules for prior year activities
- Continually enhance, improve and streamline the budgeting / forecasting process
- Special projects with a focus on operational efficiency and long-range financial planning
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance with 4-6 years of progressively responsible experience
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effectively communicate results to non-finance personnel
- Attention to detail is required, with ability to excel in fast paced and deadline driven environment
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel required; PeopleSoft, Hyperion Financial Planning experience strongly desired
- Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
