Position Summary:
OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a. Accounting Associate to join our Accounting and Finance team in Chicago, IL. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in a career in accounting and wants to join an organization that will provide opportunities for growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform month-end close processes (e.g., balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger review, accounts receivable management)
- Provide finance operations support to multiple business segments
- Compile and analyze financial information for management reports
- Communicate and present monthly reviews of P&L performance and ad-hoc metrics
- Assist in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting exercises
- Completion of special projects and other functions as required by manager
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Prior Internship experience a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Self-starter with the ability to strive in a fast paced and customer service oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Prior PeopleSoft experience, a plus
