Position Summary:
LOCATION NOTE: Chicago is the ideal location for this position; however, we are willing to consider other US locations for the desired candidate.
WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS
Our Engineering Services Lead is accountable for creating, developing, and driving the overall vision and multi-year strategy for the Engineering Services Business Lines. You will operate with influence to execute the agenda of our engineering business and leverage our industry position to offer a differentiated set of engineering services within the Americas.
The primary responsibilities include oversight of our market facing engineering service lines; Mobile Engineering Services, Static Engineering Services, Engineering Support Services, Next Generation Maintenance, ProSite Building Condition Assessments; and Life Cycle Asset Management Services.

Our Lead will pull together the best resources to win pursuits and ensure client satisfaction and work closely with the Integrated Facilities Management leadership team in helping our clients realize their investment objectives:

SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED BY
- Flawless service delivery as measured by customer satisfaction and execution of transitions
- Growth in revenue and margin pursuant to the 2017 budget
- Ability to differentiate strategic growth of the engineering business in the market
AREAS OF FOCUS | EXPECTATIONS
DRIVING GROWTH
- Business development/sales – Drive revenue growth through new and existing channels for all engineering service lines targeting static engineering services to achieve 2017 budget results.
- Develop pricing guidelines that position us competitively
- Identify cross selling opportunities with other Technical Services functions
- Advise, promote and upsell to new and existing clients on various aspects of Engineering Services Program delivery
COMMERCIAL RELEVANCE
- Drive industry recognition for the Business Line functioning as spokesperson for the brand and participate in national organizations, initiatives, public relations and speaking engagements
- Remain abreast of key trends in the industry
- Annual Engineering Services Conference participation
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Our Engineering Services Lead will report to the Technical Services Leader and matrix’s to the Global Integrated Facilities Management COO.
THE TEAM
You will lead a team of 5+ direct reports
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferred
- MBA, a strong plus
- 20+ years of progressive commercial experience within facility management and engineering
- Diverse FM operational background managing FM business at a corporate level regionally and nationally
- Demonstrated expertise organizing and executing against a business strategy
- Successful P&L experience managing a truck-based service business
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
- Licensed professional engineer
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledgeable about building systems and related technologies (e.g., CMMS, IoT, BMS) and mobile shared services
- Recognized as industry expert: SME in building engineering business with the ability to effectively interface with colleagues on a global platform
- Expert in influencing colleagues with persuasion and command, but not control
- Involvement with relevant Boards or Industry Organizations
