Contract Project Manager

Position Summary:

OVERVIEW
Currently, we are seeking a skilled Project Manager (PM) to join our Project & Development Services team.  Our Project & Development Services (PDS) division handles construction project management oversight for a wide array of properties and projects. This position will be focusing on specific management within an industrial warehouse distribution center environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Support project executives on large complex projects and assignments.
  • Oversee contractors and progress of work
  • Manage production rates
  • Program management
  • Production planning
  • Proactively manage project-related issues on account or assignment.
  • Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects.
  • Conduct and document all weekly meetings.
  • Coordinate and track all Vendor RFP’s.  Maintain accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation.
  • Coordinate activities of sub-contractors and relocation of technical functions.
  • Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
  • Prepare/update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, update tracking reports and maintain files for due diligence and financials.
  • Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all project management technology as required for assigned projects.
  • Work closely with Client user groups in coordinating their specific requirements relative to design, construction and occupancy of their facilities.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, or Project Management.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in  project management with knowledge of industrial engineering, inventory and production management, operations management, robotics, material handling equipment or other similar disciplines.
  • Manufacturing and/or warehouse and distribution experience preferred, but not required
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to review and interpret plans and specifications from schematic design/design phase
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.
  • Ability to understand all aspects of installation projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to budgeting, scheduling, and close-out.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to successfully communicate with architects, contractors, client’s representatives, and team members
  • Comply with all JLL policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.
  • OSHA Safety 40 Training class desired but not preferred
 
HOURS | TRAVEL
  • Flexibility with work hours
  • Travel as needed.
