Position Summary:
OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Capital Markets team located in Chicago, IL. The individual in this position will work closely with business line leadership and marketing to support a national team. He/she must understand the strategy, audience and objectives behind complex design projects, provide appropriate creative solutions and work with a variety of team contributors including designers, analysts and various levels of management.
The Graphic Designer must possess an interest and skill in designing within a corporate brand while still driving a creative and innovative artistic vision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Design and update a large variety of property marketing and proposal collateral, including brochures, offering memorandums, PowerPoint presentations, event invitations, direct email marketing campaigns, display boards, property marketing websites and team websites
- Manage photography and vendor relationships to provide lowest-cost options at highest quality results
- Oversees production of printed materials with outside vendors and internal Xerox Docucenter to ensure deadlines are met while recommending solutions to foreseeable problems.
- Works with PowerPoint, designing existing and new presentations for consistency using embedded styles or creating new master styles; customizing headers and footers; working with tables; importing/inserting tables, pictures and graphics from various programs
- Maintain visual consistency and professional “look” for all customer-facing materials across all media, adhering to Jones Lang LaSalle brand standards
- Provides exceptional client service internally and externally, taking on full ownership of assigned projects
- Active liaison with national Capital Markets and JLL Midwest Region marketing teams
- Partner with national marketing team to create business development best practices
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Art or Design/Visual Communications
- Minimum 2 years of prior graphic design experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- Experience in Commercial Real Estate, a plus
- Proficient in both print and digital graphic design
- Advanced design skills using the Adobe Creative Suite and the Microsoft Office Suite are mandatory
- Dreamweaver, HTML, and video experience, a definite plus (NOTE: If no experience in these programs, there must be a willingness and ability to learn them.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong creative vision and visual arts skills with an established portfolio of business to business print and digital marketing collateral
- Team-oriented attitude and exceptional communication skills needed to support professional brainstorming sessions involving cross-functional and multi-level management teams.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Consistently demonstrates a high level of organizational skill and customer service to manage several projects simultaneously
- Ability to study industry trends in visual communications and develop creative, innovative ideas to meet Jones Lang LaSalle’s aggressive new business and deal completion goals
- Team-oriented attitude and ability to contribute to design- and functionality-related marketing decisions
- Ability to review, edit, write and format flawless marketing materials
