Position Summary:

HR Manager – Chicago
 
Responsibilities:
Account Partnership

  • Partner with senior executives and management to develop and drive plans that optimize talent, structure, process and culture
  • Partner with with Americas HR leadership in creating a true talent platform, including ensuring programs are successful and legally compliant within region and leading the execution of platform programs within region. 
  • Flawless execution and delivery of value-added HR services, including but not limited to:  talent acquisition, performance management, talent reviews, compensation planning and project management
  • Act as single point of contact for HR-related processes, issues/questions for assigned clients
  • Develop strategic staffing plans and provide recruiting support to the client team
  • Partner with managers to effectively address performance gaps
  • Collaborate with management team to develop processes that engage and inspire employees at all levels
  • Work with managers to effectively diagnose organizational issues and partner to solve them
  • Ensure equity in compensation process
HR Leadership
  • Direct report responsibilities for 2-3 HRBP
  • Identify opportunities, on account and across platform, to expand and improve HR delivery and process
  • Lead, develop and deliver strategic, progressive HR initiatives and programs that impact multiple accounts/platforms.  Required to partner with HR team, HR SMEs and business leaders to pilot and implement such initiatives and programs
  • Partner with JLL HR COEs on development and implementation of firm-wide initiatives, providing input and guidance at an account and functional level
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with major concentration in HR or business-related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience in a client-focused HR Generalist role, including experience as a specialist in one of the following core HR disciplines: performance management, employee relations, learning, or compensation
  • Ideal candidate will have prior experience in the Real Estate, Financial Services industry, or strong Operations/Manufacturing HR experience
  • Ideal candidate will have experience supporting union workforce
  • Six Sigma background, or experience working in a metrics-driven organization, is preferred
  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to build partnerships at all levels 
  • Ability to coach and influence senior management
  • Professional and polished
  • Ability to perform as a trusted advisor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively deliver presentations
  • Strong analytical skills and mindset
