Position Summary:
Are you graduating in May/June 2017? Are you interested in becoming a commercial real estate appraiser? Do you want to work in Chicago after graduation? If this describes you, we are currently interviewing and hiring appraiser analysts for our Valuation & Advisory Services training program.
OVERVIEW
Our Valuation & Advisory Services platform is part of a global network comprised of experienced, licensed, qualified appraisers who use local insights and their years of expertise to deliver accurate, reliable and prompt valuations. We provide sound advice, no matter the size of a property, complexity of a project, or industry focus. Our professionals offer a full range of expertise, including counsel in financing, due diligence, risk analysis, balance sheet reporting, dispute resolutions and IPO listings.
As an appraisal analyst you will successfully complete assignments in connection with commercial real estate valuation and consulting assignments which may include estimation of cash flow, discounted cash flow models, analyses of comparable sales and cost analyses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Analyzing market data and comparable transactions
- Estimating rent values and highest and best use
- Performing lease abstracts
- Conducting market surveys
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, and/or Real Estate
- Outstanding academic achievement (NOTE: Please include GPA on resume)
- Real Estate related internship, strongly preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong desire to work in Real Estate Valuation Industry as an appraiser
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- ARGUS exposure preferred but not required
- Advanced analytical & writing skills
- Self-starter, independent
