We are currently seeking an entry level HR Associate to join our team in Chicago.
Responsibilities:
Support HR manager and business line managers to drive plans that optimize talent, structure and culture.
Provide day-to-day guidance on HR-related processes and procedures, performance management, compensation planning and project management to assigned stakeholders and business units.
Develop, design and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and reports to support client needs and performance.
Provide ongoing support across client for data needs and analysis (i.e. inputs into monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports).
Streamline and automate various HR related reports, identify various audience needs and manage distribution on an ongoing basis.
Managing on-account HR compliance and audit requirements as governed by client contractual requirements and/or JLL Governance and Compliance.
Partner with HR Manager, Employee Relations and Labor Relations to resolve employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations for our Engineering population; including union employees.
Conduct exit interviews with departing employees to gather feedback and make suggestions to improve the employee experience.
Provide recruiting support to the client teams up to and including finalizing the offer process in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Proactively anticipate opportunities or issues in the market and recommend innovative solutions.
Partner with assigned teams to develop a solid understanding of the business, culture, and people, remaining cognizant of how to best support a "deal-oriented” and “client service” culture.
Participate in HR programs that enhance a culture of inclusiveness and diversity, linking development and leadership initiatives to business strategy and measurable results.
Assist with HR special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
Having, or pursuing, Professional HR Certification (PHR or SPHR) is preferred
3+ years of HR experience in a client-focused role is preferred
Previous real estate or sales organization experience preferred
Previous experience with labor unions preferred
Analytical aptitude and ability to identify data needs, conduct necessary analysis of various data points with the ultimate outcome of providing meaningful insights to support business decisions
Ability to thrive in ambiguity – can navigate through a complex, multi-faceted organization with multiple stakeholders
Ability to balance urgency and client response with methodology and discipline
Ability to proactively communicate and build partnerships at all levels
Attention and aptitude for detail and accuracy
Evidence of business acumen with proven results in influencing and advising managers and employees at all levels whom are both virtual and local
Self-Starter; results oriented and motivated professional
Professional and polished at all times, ability to perform as a trusted advisor
Demonstrated knowledge about where to find and attract talent using a social media platform and other effective methods, while understanding existing talent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively deliver presentations
Project Management skills and demonstrable end-to-end process and/or initiative ownership
Computer proficiency with advanced skills in Excel, Power Point, and other Office suite applications
Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS systems, preferably PeopleSoft
