Sr. Finance Team Manager- Virtual

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Manager for our Corporate Solutions Client Finance Deployment team. This is a virtual opportunity for the right candidate.
 
SUMMARY
Responsibilities include system set up, procedures, compliance requirements, financial reporting, transition budgeting, analysis of transition expenses, training, and coordinate the set up between Finance and other disciplines (for example Procurement, IT, HR, Project Management, TM, MAC, LA, etc.); directly accountable for the performance of the finance transition team to meet all transition deliverables.
 
The Deployment Team Finance Manager will be responsible for the set-up of the Accounting and Finance department for new client accounts. The Finance Manager focuses on IFM accounting, project accounting and client management. This position balances scope, time, cost and quality, while maintaining a positive environment that promotes individual development and high performance standards.  In performing the essential functions of this role, the work environment is fast-paced and team based.  Approximately 15% travel required
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Mentors and coaches professional team member, as appropriate
  • Lead IFM and Project Accounting transitions; work with the IFM and Project Management deployment team, Accounting (transition, Corporate, and CAS), and other key functional areas; provide updates on internal and client calls; update the timeline, risk matrix and other documents required on each transition
  • Provide day to day contact for the client accounting deployment lead – must be able to demonstrate an exceptional technical knowledge base of accounting principles and theories to clearly understand the clients financial reporting needs
  • The individual may, from time to time, be asked to assist or lead current client accounts with Accounting and Finance needs (only when time permits)
  • Schedules team member training for Financial systems
  • Requires the ability to adapt to utilizing and integrating with multiple client financial systems – provides the technical guidance to assist with the development of interfaces and customized reporting and/or invoicing
  • Work with multiple internal and external clients and disciplines
  • Comply with internal SOX and SOCR1 requirements
  • The individual will require a high level of creativity to develop the Accounting / Finance department policies and procedures; confirm the set-up is in compliance with the Management Service Agreement, JLL standards and Client specific requirements; and confirm the on-going Finance team will be able to meet all requirements and follow the newly developed procedures on a regular basis
  • Creates procedures and process flows for on-account team members and clients to meet the operational challenges of accounting system integrations and required reporting standards
  • Update training materials as needed
  • Participate in Corporate Solutions Finance/ Accounting special projects as required.
  • Provide responses to RFP’s, including: creation of the transition budget estimates, quarterly reconciliations, review funding requirements, SOX compliance, and ensure JLL standards are met for Accounting
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
  • 4-6 years’ relevant experience with a focus on Real Estate management accounting. 
  • Prior management experience, preferred
  • Experience working with JLL corporate Accounting/Finance (budgeting/ forecasting and financial reporting)
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Understanding of JLL business lines and processes is preferred
  • One View Financials (E1), JD Edwards experience preferred
  • Ability to learn new software easily
  • Must have excellent leadership, team management and relationship building skills
  • Flexibility to lead diverse and dynamic individuals and teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Solid problem solving skills and ability to focus both strategically and tactically to achieve firm and client business goals
  • Self-directed and the ability to work independently and manage communications up and down in the organization
  • Highly skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects
  • Excellent business and communication skills (written and verbal)
