Midwest Multi-Site Operations Manager

Position Summary:

OVERVIEW
The purpose of the Midwest Multi-site Operations Manager role is to facilitate the efficient and profitable operation of the cost center, identify and develop improvements and innovations in our operations and help expand our industry leading position in providing the best value to our clients.  The position will report to the Midwest Multi-Site practice lead, support our people and program managers and work closely with JLL Human Resources and Finance business partners.  
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
INNOVATION

  • New product development – Assist the practice lead in the identification and development of new products
  • Technology – Identify and help evaluate technologies that would give the team a competitive advantage
  • Best practices – Facilitate the development and sharing of best practice across the group
 
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
  • Work with Markets Finance to ensure the accuracy of monthly resource utilization reports
  • Identify over utilized and under-utilized resources and propose appropriate actions to prevent and/or correct problems
  • Work with program managers and the practice lead to track potential resource needs.
  • Match available resources with current and anticipated needs
  • Work with HR on an ongoing basis to develop and maintain a warm bench of potential resources including high value/game changing talent 
 
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
  • Ensure contracts and project authorizations are in place for all assignments, revenue forecasts for the group are accurate and up-to-date, clients are billed in a timely manner, and receivables are collected in a timely manner
  • Work with finance and the practice lead to evaluate, forecast, and improve group financial performance
 
PRICING
  • Benchmark pricing from different programs for future reference
  • Develop project manager productivity metrics (number of projects / year by project type) for future pricing
  • Develop pricing for new business pursuits
 
ADMINISTRATION
  • Coordinate and drive administrative processes such as annual performance evaluations
 
VALUE
  • Work with each program director to help create value and ensure we are documenting meaningful MAV (measurable added value) ideas.
  • Share MAV ideas from different programs
 
RISK MANAGEMENT
  • Develop and implement efficient procedures to minimize and manage JLL and client risk from ongoing operations
 
TRAINING
  • Implement a basic training program for the team utilizing the firm’s existing training platform to improve employee skills and mitigate business risk
