Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

OVERVIEW
This individual will assume overall leadership and responsibility for the development and execution of a marketing strategy in support of assigned business line goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities include supporting new business development, marketing plans, go-to-market execution and enhancing the JLL brand in the Midwest region.
 
The ideal candidate has strong marketing experience and can work cross-functionally to deliver best in class marketing support.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure JLL’s differentiators are communicated effectively across all assets
  • Partner with Research, Design, Digital and Communications teams (among others) to deliver meaningful content to the market
  • Create comprehensive, integrated marketing plans to drive awareness, consideration, purchase, preference, loyalty and/or advocacy
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the key business drivers and use this knowledge to deliver breakthrough marketing campaigns that meet or exceed business objectives
  • Identify and capitalize on cross-business unit opportunities to drive growth
  • Track program/campaign/tactical results and effectiveness
 
EVENT AND SPONSORSHIP
  • Devise event concepts and lead all pre-event communication, planning, logistical coordination, execution and follow up for assigned business line
  • Identify, recommend, execute and measure effectiveness of sponsorship opportunities
 
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT
  • In collaboration with the research and communications teams, create quarterly external communication to drive market perception and demonstrate thought leadership
  • Develop appropriate digital and printed collateral
  • Social Media Support the social media strategy for assigned business line
  • Manage relevant online content and create programs to drive site visits to jll.com/Chicago for assigned business line
 
GENERAL
  • Act as a steward of the firm’s brand and visual graphic standards
  • Ensure budget adherence for all marketing activities
  • Maintain all project files, including budgets, production schedules, copies and completed work samples
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of six years of progressive marketing and project management experience, preferably within a professional services environment
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Professional judgment and discretion
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Strong creative skills and ability to provide art direction
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Assertive, with an independent work style
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects
  • A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is helpful, but not required.
