Position Summary:

THE ROLE
The role is responsible for leading the change management workstream for AIM 2020’s US activities. A key aim of this is to ensure change lands successfully and sustainably in the US, managing any resistance and helping to ensure the program realizes its intended benefits.
 
The role will also support and manage other members of the change team and act as a change management expert and adviser on to the program in the US.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
CHANGE MANAGEMEN

  • Work with the US Communications Lead and others to develop and execute the US change and strategy.
  • Develop the change vision alongside management and senior program team members.
  • Gather and assess information to help define the approach to change (including change readiness assessments).
  • Define the different groups affected by the change and the impact of the change on each group (change impact assessment).
  • Build the US change strategy and plan.
  • Implement US-wide change plan/initiatives while working with change agents and communication colleagues to tailor plans for different business units and workstreams.
  • Provide training and coaching to the program team members and change agents to build change management capabilities in the US program team.
  • Support change managers in affected business areas to prepare the business for transition to new ways of working.
  • Work closely with the US Communications Lead and workstream leads to agree focus of change resources and how to resolve risks and issues relating to change activities.
 
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with key stakeholders within the US and wider program team and the JLL business.
  • Provide advice and guidance to program on stakeholder management.
  • Liaise and coordinate with external consulting partners PwC.
  • Influence key senior stakeholders to obtain ongoing sponsorship and support.
 
COMMUNICATION AND COACHING
  • Support the US communications lead with the development of the communication plans around change activities.
  • Coach senior leaders to support them in their change leader/sponsor role.
  • Provide support and coaching to local management and change colleagues as they deploy changes on the ground.
 
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Build and maintain change documentation, tracking activities, deliverables, risks etc.
  • Keep the US and global program and workstreams advised of the progress of deliverables against plan and adjust the plan as necessary in line with workstream and program changes.
  • Advise the program director, internal communications and change lead and others on the required resourcing, timing etc to carry out change activities.
  • Advise the program and workstreams on the knock on change implications of changes to program plans.
  • Establish KPIs for the change strategy and measure progress towards these KPIs. Develop additional change strategies in response to feedback from audiences and stakeholders.
  • Support workstream teams to integrate change management activities into their project plans.
 
TEAMWORK
  • Optimize and continually develop relationships with Finance and HR teams.
  • Work with communication colleagues to ensure change and communication activities are aligned and coordinated.
  • Support the building of a sense of team responsibility and accountability across the communications and change team – both in the central program, across the regions and workstreams and also in the change agent network.
  • Understand the communications and change team objectives and accountabilities, while also being aware of the wider program team’s priorities.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to changing priorities.
 
EDCUATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Very strong experience as a change manager/lead in a large international transformation program.
  • Solid understanding and experience of communication strategies during transformation programs.
  • Demonstrable experience of project management in an international, matrixed transformation program.
  • Experience of working with international and cross cultural teams.
  • Leading virtual teams and leading groups where there is no direct reporting relationship.
  • Working with and influencing/coaching senior executives in an organization.
  • Implementing change strategies and working with communication teams to align change and communication activities to maximize their impact.
  • Experience of leading change planning workshops, preferred.
  • Experience of having implemented change and communication strategies that effect long-term culture change, preferred.
  • Experience in Real estate, preferred.

  • An understanding of the nature of change, its people impacts and how to ensure colleagues are able to take on new ways of working.
  • An ability to understand and draw on a range of tactical activities and techniques needed to make change successful.
  • An ability to work with senior leaders and other stakeholders to gain their buy in and ongoing proactive support.
  • Facilitation and communication skills.
  • Program management skills.
  • An ability to work effectively and build relationships at all levels in an organization.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and implement plans through a matrix of local change and communication leads, champion networks etc.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations, dealing with complexity and time pressure.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • High energy, tenacious with a passion to deliver.
  • Successful track record of delivering solutions to internal client base.
  • Ability to generate insight from data and evidence.
  • Able to work with a global organization.
  • Organizational design and people capability building.
  • Ability to use business insights to drive change in people management practices.
  • Commercially astute, ability to manage headcount.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) abilities.
  • Ideally have knowledge of employee communications and engagement; ideally gained from a large company.
  • Must have strong relationship skills.
  • Demonstration of strong planning sills and working under pressure.
  • Ability to work with potential resistance from stakeholders.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • English – Fluent.
  • Other languages welcome.
