Human Resources (HR) Technical Functional Lead

Position Summary:

OBJECTIVE         
One of the world’s largest real estate and property firms are looking to modernize and update current ways of executing HR and Finance across the globe. The goal is to the get more data, insights and effectiveness out of HR and Finance across all 80 markets and 72,000+ employees.
 
SCOPE  
The scope of the program will be through a system enabled transformation - improve HR processes, create an effective HR organization and provide the business with real data and insights. The broad scope covers HR systems, HR Processes, Target Operating Models (including Shared Services) and Change Management to embed the new ways of working.
 
The HR Technology Functional Lead will be responsible for the design and delivery of the functional configuration of all HR modules in scope for AIM2020 based on JLL’s HR process and business requirements.  This individual will work closely with the Regional HR Technology & Data Leads to maintain overall HR technology work stream alignment, and alongside the supplier System Implementation (SI) Partner to manage the design and implementation of the HR solution.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Leading and managing the functional work stream to successful delivery of the configuration activities as defined in the project plan
  • Provide weekly progress/status reporting to the HR Technology, Data & Analytics Lead
  • Participate in process re-design workshops, working with teams in design and delivery of the workday HCM solution
  • Documentation and management of functional requirements
  • Directly educating and influencing stakeholders in order to reach common process design and configuration globally, wherever possible
  • Manage configuration and QA/test teams to implement and test functionality
  • Assist Security Configuration Lead in design and implementation of HR Security model
  • Impact assessment of configuration updates resulting from approval of changes, new requests, unanticipated scope changes, etc.
  • Manage configuration updates for modules impacted by releases and upgrades as needed during the program
  • Run weekly work stream meetings to manage configuration and QA team activities as per the overall project plan
  • Manage incoming and outgoing work stream dependencies with other work stream leads and IT- and if necessary escalate issues and conflicts to the HR Technology, Data & Analytics Lead
  • Identify risks/issues early and create mitigation strategies
  • Oversight of and responsibility for Testing, Training, and Deployment support (e.g., test scenarios, resolution of configuration defects during unit testing and UAT, train the Trainer (end user training) sessions and materials)
  • Ensure delivery of configuration documentation for all modules
  • Manage documentation of BAU procedures for testing and implementation of new releases post go-live
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES     
  • Advanced knowledge of business analysis, requirements engineering and structured analysis
  • Advanced Knowledge of the [Workday HCM] product configuration including Core HR, Recruit & On-board, Compensation Management, Performance Management, and Talent
  • Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies and end user support structures
  • Advanced knowledge of business process mapping, re-engineering and organisational context
  • Advanced auditing and validation experience
  • Intermediate HR Transformation experience with a good understanding of shared services
  • Intermediate knowledge of project planning processes and techniques
  • Intermediate knowledge of project methodology, project management skills
  • Elementary knowledge of HR Operating Models
  • Facilitation experience for conducting requirements gathering, prototype review sessions, and stakeholder agreement meetings
  • Familiar with business process design concepts and principles, as it relates to
  • Knowledge of development processes
  • Ability to transform customer requirements into user and application requirements
  • Ability to transform customer requirements into a workable design at the functional and/or technical levels
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into technical terms relevant to the packaged software to coordinate and assist with the detailed technical design tasks
  • Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards
  • Ability to document and communicate progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary
  • Ability to manage a global team
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Additional language skills a plus
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience on programs with global process complexities, issues, and challenges
  • Experience working in complex end to end implementation
  • Personally completed the role within at least one complex HR project and ideally been involved with a further 2-3 projects
  • Personally completed the role as functional lead on 1+ Global HR Transformation program
  • Experience working in a complex global organization
  • Significant experience of business analysis - requirements planning and management, requirements elicitation, requirements analysis and documentation, communications and solution assessment and QA – highly desirable
 
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
  • Workday Certification and HCM Fundamental completion (if applicable)
 
HOURS AND TRAVEL
  • The role holder should expect to work non-standard hours on a regular basis as the position demands
  • Ability to travel globally (approx. 30%, as needed)
