Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Accounting.
Experience: Four years previous work experience in accounting, to include a minimum of 2 years governmental enterprise and grant accounting and 1 year supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of specific/applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations governing financial reporting.
• Basic typing skills and knowledge of personal computer operation, including proficiency with office software applications and advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing with an emphasis on customer service. • Ability to apply professional judgment in following standard and advanced accounting techniques and principles. • Ability to make accurate mathematical calculations.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under pressure of time-sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures and instructions.
• Knowledge of accounting software preferred.
